No—pay per fax, one time. You can start sending faxes immediately without creating an account or subscription.
If a regular fax fails after automatic retries, you pay $0. For a long document sent in separate parts, only confirmed delivered parts are charged; failed and unsent parts are not charged.
The regular fax form supports up to 50 total pages, including the cover, and 20MB per file. PDF is recommended; DOCX, TIFF, JPG, PNG, and TXT are also supported. The separate long-document flow accepts one PDF up to 250 original pages and 50 MB, splits it into faxes of at most 50 transmitted pages, and sends the parts in order. Long-document splitting is standard fax only.
Yes. Send a long document accepts one PDF up to 250 original pages and 50 MB. We prepare the parts and numbered covers, show the page ranges and prices, then send one part at a time after authorization. You can track each part and pay only for confirmed delivered parts. This is standard fax only; confirm your recipient accepts separate faxes.
See the long-document workflowYes—toggle HIPAA to receive a BAA and stricter handling. HIPAA mode includes industry-standard encryption, audit logging, and instant Business Associate Agreement generation.
United States & Canada only. We support all US and Canadian fax numbers in +1 format.
Lite (1-10 pages): $3.50. Standard (11-50 pages): $5.00. HIPAA add-on: +$3 (Lite) or +$5 (Standard). No monthly fees or subscriptions.
We authorize your payment before sending and charge after delivery is confirmed. For a regular fax, a failed delivery costs $0. For a long document, the final charge covers only confirmed delivered parts. If no parts deliver, the authorization is cancelled and you pay $0.
PDF is recommended because it preserves layout and page breaks. The regular fax form also supports DOCX, TXT, JPG, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and TIF, with up to 15 files, 20MB per file, and 50 total pages. The separate long-document flow accepts one PDF only, up to 250 original pages and 50 MB.
Yes. OneFaxNow automatically prepares and optimizes uploaded documents for fax transmission, including a fax-ready PDF at a 300 DPI target where the source supports it. This helps improve compatibility with recipient fax machines, reduce oversized files, and improve the chances of reliable delivery. Very low-resolution source files may still look low-resolution.
For PDF faxes sent from the website, Higher resolution requests a 400 dpi (Superfine) fax transmission. The receiving fax machine may use a lower compatible resolution, and a low-resolution scan cannot gain detail. This option can help with small text and fine lines, usually takes about three times as long, and does not change the price.
Yes! You can add an optional cover page with sender information, recipient details, subject, and a message. The cover page counts toward your total page count.
A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is required by HIPAA when transmitting Protected Health Information (PHI). OneFaxNow generates and signs your BAA instantly when you use HIPAA mode.
PHI is individually identifiable health information including medical records, lab results, insurance claims, patient communications, and any document that could identify a patient and relates to their healthcare.
If the first attempt fails (busy signal, no answer), we automatically retry 3 times with exponential backoff delays: 3 minutes, 6 minutes, then 12 minutes. The entire process completes within about 21 minutes.
You receive an email confirmation when your fax is successfully delivered. The email includes delivery time and status information.
No. OneFaxNow is outbound only: we send your fax and email delivery status, but we do not receive inbound faxes or assign fax numbers. For Form SS-4, the IRS may fax your EIN back if you provide a return fax number, so use a fax number you control or an inbound fax service.
We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay through Stripe secure payment processing. No cash or check payments.
Currently, we only support faxes to US and Canadian numbers (+1 country code). We do not support international faxing outside of North America.
Yes! Every HIPAA fax includes access to a comprehensive audit dashboard with detailed logs. You can export audit reports in CSV or PDF format for compliance.
